Sit in one of the small cafés on the romantic main square Plaça Major and enjoy the lovely view of the 18th-century church Nostra Senyora Del Angels. The other main church in Pollensa is the 16th-century Convent de Sant Domingo, a baroque cloister with four portico corners. The Museum of Pollensa is located here. Fans of ancient and modern culture will find many interesting exhibits there, such as a Tibetan sand painting given by the Dalai Lama in 1990.

The calvary steps and the Roman bridge

Another must see in Pollensa Old Town are the famous Calvari steps. The Calle de Calvary leads from the square of Calvary to a small and very romantic chapel nestled at the top of the hill known as Calvary. From the top, enjoy the magnificent view of the surrounding landscape. Pollensas Roman Bridge, the Pont Roma dates from the 14th century.

Beaches in Pollensa

Only a few kilometers to the North, Puerto Pollensa with its magnificent beach awaits you for some perfect days at the beach. Puerto Pollensa is one of the most famous family beach resorts in Mallorca. Ideally situated in a wide bay and protected by the hills of the Serra Tramuntana from strong winds, it is indeed a beautiful spot. Pollensa offers a nice selection of restaurants. There are some good Italian Restaurants, like Il Giardino and Cantonet. If you like homemade pasta and fresh fish, you should try these out. You will find a nice traditional atmosphere at La Font del Gall, which is a restaurant serving Mediterranean cuisine. Most restaurants are located on the main square. Shopping in Pollensa

Pollensa offers a lot of interesting shopping. It’s a nice mix of little boutiques and gift shops. Favourite gifts are jewelry, ceramics, fabrics and interior decorations. There is a market every Sunday between 8.30am and 1.00pm. The market in Puerto Pollensa is on Wednesdays.
